Fifty Shades Of Grey Credited For Sparking Baby Boom

Airdate: 02/15/2013

Like millions of women, Tara, a 30-year-old mom’s love life was reignited after reading the seductive, blockbuster book, Fifty Shades of Grey.

And now like thousands of fans, the Phoenix, Arizona mom is pregnant.

She said, “We are having baby number 3.”

That's right, Fifty Shades of Grey is sparking a baby boom.

As the mother of a six-year-old boy and an 18 month old daughter, having another baby was the last thing on this busy mom's mind.

She said, “After we had our son, my libido dropped off to zero, non existent.”

But that all changed after reading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, also known as mommy porn.

Her husband Trevor couldn't be happier.

Trevor said, “Every night, every morning she was face deep in the book.”

Tara said, “I would have liked to have seen more spice in the bedroom, but I honestly wasn't even thinking about it until I read the book.”

Trevor said, “Oh it definitely helped motivate her more. I didn’t have a problem.”

We asked Tara if there was one passage in the book, that helped recharge her sexual energy most?

Tara said, “I would love to find you a scene from the book but nothing would be appropriate for TV.”

Linda Murray, editor and chief for the popular parenting website Babycenter.com, says hundreds of women have sent emails fessing up that they too are having a Fifty Shades of Grey baby, also known as a “grey-bee”.

Murray said, “What women were saying is that the book was an aphrodisiac and it was helping them get pregnant and some women even thanked the author.”

So how does Tara feel about being pregnant with her Grey-bee?

Tara said, “It was a huge shock that we were having another one. I’m actually really excited about it so I’m really thankful for the book.”
