It's the first look inside the most infamous Zumba studio in America.
INSIDE EDITION got an exclusive tour of the fitness facility where prosecutors say Zumba instructor, Alexis Wright, ran her prostitution business.
Her alleged activities stunned the quaint New England town of Kennebunk, Maine.
Now, Zumba instructor Joyce Bagshaw has taken over the studio.
Now, the business is called Dance Works, and this time around it's squeaky-clean. INSIDE EDITION was there for the first class and no one seemed bothered by the notoriety.
Joyce says she has no concerns about taking over what many consider a notorious location.
Joyce said, “People said I wouldn't touch that studio with a ten-foot pole. I don't understand that reasoning myself.”
Joyce is mystified about where Alexis could have entertained her male clients, as prosecutors allege. Besides the large studio, there's not a lot of hidden space.
She said, “Would you like to do hanky panky in this shower? I'm not sure I would.”
Joyce knew Alexis personally and says whatever business the accused hooker conducted in the space, she was still a great Zumba instructor.
At least one member of Joyce’s class agrees.
One Zumba participant said, “Ill never forget how kind she was and how the encouragement that she gave me.”
Alexis's alleged partner, insurance agent Mark Strong, was jailed last week for his role in the scandal.
Alexis is due to stand trial on prostitution charges in May. She has pleaded not guilty.
Meanwhile, Zumba classes resume in Kennebunk.
