George Zimmerman's Heroic Act

George Zimmerman's Heroic Act

George Zimmerman of all people is being called a hero today after he came to the rescue of a family whose vehicle had overturned.

The accident happened at the intersection of Interstate 4 and Route 417 outside Sanford, Florida just two miles away from where Trayvon Martin was killed. Police say a blue Ford Explorer rolled over with two adults and two children inside. Two men, one of whom was George Zimmerman, helped assist that family by getting them out of the overturned vehicle.

It's the first sighting of 29-year-old George Zimmerman since his controversial acquittal last week for the murder of Trayvon Martin. The sighting seems to refute earlier reports that he had left the state for his own safety.

Over the weekend, protests were held across America, including one in New York City with Jay Z and Beyonce. Even the President joined in the national debate.

Now, a new twist in the story that won't go away.
