'Did You Vote For Obama?' Democratic Senate Candidate Clams Up

When asked if she voted for President Obama, Democratic Senatorial candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes avoided the answer. INSIDE EDITION has more.

A cringeworthy video that could sink one women's campaign for the U.S. Senate involved the question, "Did you vote for President Obama?"

A simple question, right?

But Alison Lundergan Grimes, a Democrat from Kentucky, refused to answer.

"This election isn't about President Obama. It's about making sure we put Kentuckians back to work," responded Grimes.

"Did you vote for him?" she was asked again.

For 40 painful seconds, the candidate ducked and doged.

"I respect the sanctity of the ballot box, and I know the members of this editorial board do as well," said Grimes.

The video, taken as she was interviewed by the editorial board of the Louisvile Courier-Journal, is sparking lots of reaction today.

On MSNBC's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough said, "What a rookie mistake."

Chuck Todd replied, "You can't answer that basic question and come across looking that ridiculous. I think she disqualified herself."

Grimes is challenging Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and they're neck and neck in the polls.

But while Grimes is dodging the question, at least actress Gwyneth Paltrow is willing to stand up for the President.

Paltrow hosted a fundraiser at her home in L.A. Thursday, and she sure is smitten.

She got all tongue-tied introducing the president, gushing, "You're so handsome that I can't speak properly."

Two women, while one is head-over-heels, the other is running for the hills.
