Barefoot Bandit Returns to the U.S.
Colton Harris-Moore is back on United States soil!
The barefoot bandit appeared in Federal Court in Miami Wednesday, after being deported from the Bahamas.
INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd was there.
The courtroom was packed with tight security and about a dozen U.S. Marshals on hand. Colton Harris-Moore was wearing a beige jumpsuit, his hands and feet were shackled.
Even though he is 19 years old, his immaturity came through at one point when the judge asked him how long it was going to take for him to hire an attorney. The barefoot bandit said, "I have to talk to my mom first." He is due back in court on Friday.
His usually bare feet were in brand new white sneakers with the laces removed.
The Bahamian authorities couldn't get rid of him fast enough. On his way to the airport he was paraded through the streets.
He is expected to be charged with 100 burglaries across eight states and the thefts of five airplanes.
After 2 years as a fugitive, the barefoot bandit's reign is over.
