Strange Details Over Missing Child Kyron Horman

Police investigating the disappearance of seven-year-old Kyron Horman want to talk his step-mother's best friend.

Her name is Dede Spicher. She posted a video of herself running a marathon saying, "It's just so exciting.  There will never be another first marathon."

Dede is a workout buddy of Kyron's bodybuilding step-mom, Terri Horman, who has reportedly failed two lie detector tests.  Now Kyron's family is turning up the heat on Dede.

In a statement, Kyron's dad and mom say, "She has been providing Terri with support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son. She is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, she is also going as far as to suggest to others not to cooperate."

Kyron's family even goes so far as to threaten Dede with a lawsuit, "If we find out through the investigation that she caused a delay in us finding our son, we will pursue civil remedies in this matter."

Police are also cranking up the pressure on Dede.  Cops recently raided her home outside Portland looking for evidence in the case.

The day Kyron disappeared, Dede tweeted, "This is my friend's child. I know him. It's so so scary!"

And The Oregonian newspaper is reporting that Dede Spicher was seen by a witness leaving her job for 90 minutes on the day Kyron disappeared from his elementary school. She was gone, the paper reported, around the same time the boy is believed to have vanished.

"I don't believe in coincidences.  It's quite a coincidence that Dede would be in the area of Skyline School the day that Kyron disappears," C.W. Jenson, a former homicide detective said.

The details emerging are enough to make even seasoned investigators sick with worry.

"Both women disapeared on that day for a period of time and no one could find them, that's pretty strange."

Neither Kyron's step-mom or her friend, Dede, have been charged or named as suspects in the boy's dissapearance.
