Indiana College Students Can Now Get Their Food Delivered by Robots

The service only costs $1.99.

Who wouldn’t want robots to deliver their food?

Students at Purdue University in Indiana are one step ahead of the rest of us now that they have 30 robots on campus just to deliver food.

The robots, part of Starship Deliveries, use sensors to keep from running into students and statues.

And the fee for such a service? Only $1.99. The deliveries are ordered through an app.

Purdue University President Mitch Daniels had fun with the new additions to the campus.

“I said, 'How do you tip a robot?' I took out a can of oil and squirted a little on its tires! I couldn't think of any other way to express my appreciation,” Daniels said.
