Logan Paul Catches Heat for Saying He'll 'Go Gay' for March

YouTube star Logan Paul finds himself in the middle of controversy yet again.

YouTube star Logan Paul has found himself in the middle of controversy yet again.

On his podcast, “Impaulsive,” earlier this week, the 23-year-old laid out his plans for the first part of the year. He stated that January would be sober and vegan. His co-host, Mike Majlak, said fatal February was up next, implying they would eat large amounts of meat and drink lots of alcohol.

“As for March, it’s male-only March,” Paul said. “We’re going to attempt to go gay for just one month.”

While Paul thought he was making a joke, the internet thought otherwise.

“Being gay isn’t a choice, being gay isn’t a phase, being gay shouldn’t be used for a trend and subscribers. Grow up Logan Paul,” actress Skai Jackson tweeted.

Another user commented, “Logan Paul did an oopsie? Is anyone even surprised at this point?”

GLAAD chimed in saying, “That’s not how it works, @LoganPaul.”

In response to GLAAD’s tweet, Logan apologized. “Very poor choice of words...my fault. let’s get together and talk about it on my podcast next week?” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time Paul has been caught in the middle of controversy.

One year ago, the vlogger posted a video to his YouTube channel that showed the body of an alleged suicide victim in Japan's Aokigahara forest, a known destination for those looking to end their own lives.

In another incident last month, a video uploaded to Paul’s social media featuring a tiger cub caught the attention of California authorities, as it is illegal to keep them as pets. The video led to a 32-year-old man being charged, though Paul was not charged in the case.
