67-Year-Old Albatross Hatches Another Egg After Raising More Than 30 Chicks

Age is nothing but a number for one mother, who just hatched a chick at 67-years-old. Wisdom is an albatross and researchers believe she is the oldest breeding bird in the wild. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Pacific Region says Wisdom probably laid the egg in December and it hatched just a few weeks ago. They say she has raised more than 30 chicks in her lifetime.
