Foods You Should Toss and Keep After a Power Outage

Americans who have been hit with massive power outages following fierce storms in the Northeast are facing the dilemma of what to keep and what to throw out from their refrigerator. Inside Edition spoke to Good Housekeeping Institute nutrition director Jaclyn London for her tips. She advised that frozen meat can go in a cooler “as long as these are packed in ice and staying at frozen temps and you see these are gonna stay frozen.” She said that fruit in the fridge should be tossed as well.
