This weekend, the Duchess of Sussex hosted her makeup artist, who spilled the tea on Instagram.

Meghan Markle continues to break from royal tradition — this time, by adding a twist to afternoon tea!

She whipped up avocado toast for her makeup artist and good friend Daniel Martin, he revealed on Instagram on Sunday. The Duchess of Sussex apparently drizzled olive oil and sprinkled black pepper across the mashed avocado and served it alongside tea and chocolate truffles.

Traditional afternoon tea usually includes finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, cakes and other sweet treats.

"Back to our Tig days... Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!" Martin wrote.

The Tig was Markle's now-defunct lifestyle blog. On the website, she often shared her own recipes and tips for staying healthy.

Food was the way to her prince's heart, too. In 2017, the duchess revealed Prince Harry proposed as they roasted chicken.

And during her Australia tour in October, the duchess brought a homemade banana bread loaf to a farm in Dubbo. Her secret ingredients are believed to be chocolate and ginger.

Last year, the duchess also released a cookery book of recipes, "Together: Our Community Cookbook," to benefit the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London.
