Is Melania Trump Making Fashion Choices to Punish the President?

Omarosa Manigault Newman writes that the first lady's choices are purposeful.

Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman has claimed the first lady was trying to punish President Trump when she wore her Zara jacket that read "I Really Don’t Care Do U?"

"I believe Melania uses [fashion] style to punish her husband," the former “Apprentice” star writes in her new book, “Unhinged.” "The messages behind her style choices aren't always clear, but they are never accidental."

Manigault Newman adds that she believes the jacket worn by Melania Trump when she set off to visit immigrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border was payback because the first lady was being "forced ... to mop up her husband's mess."

"She wore that jacket to hurt Trump," Manigault Newman writes. "She gladly, spitefully, wrecked her husband's directives to make him look foolish."

Manigault Newman also claims in the book there may have been a hidden symbolism to the white Christian Dior pant suit that Melania wore to her husband's State of the Union address in January.

"Did she purposefully wear a Hillary Clinton-esque white pantsuit to Trump's first State of the Union address?" she writes.

Manigault Newman also speculates about the "pussy bow" blouse Melania wore at one of the presidential debates in 2016, which took place right after the leak of the notorious “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump made lewd comments about women.

"Why did she wear a Gucci ‘pussy bow’ pink blouse to the presidential debate immediately after the ‘Access Hollywood’ bombshell?" Omarosa writes.

The White House says Omarosa's book is riddled with lies and false accusations.
