Paris Hilton and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt apparently got into a fight inside their  SUV on the way home from Heidi Klum's Halloween party.

According to photographers at the scene, the fight started when Reinhardt threw Paris's cell phone out the window.  

The socialite was seen wandering on Sunset Boulevard looking for her phone.

But Hilton's publicist tells INSIDE EDITION the incident has been "grossly misrepresented." He says Paris was "annoyed" with her boyfriend but "there was never a choking incident. Doug [was] asking Paris to calm down."

Apparently a photographer found Paris's phone and returned it to her.
