Carrie Prejean's On-Air Meltdown

Airdate: 11/12/2009
Fired Miss California Carrie Prejean threw a tantrum on Larry King Live. She took off her microphone and threatened to storm off Larry King's show in the middle of their live interview. "I think you are being extremely inappropriate right now and I am about to leave your show," the former beauty queen told host Larry King. "Larry, you're being inappropriate."

Prejean lost her cool when she was asked why she settled her lawsuit against California pageant officials. "Larry, everything that was discussed in mediation, I'll say it again, is completely confidential, I'm not going to be able to talk about that."

Reports say Prejean dropped the suit because she feared a raunchy sex tape she sent to her ex-boyfriend would become public, but she wouldn't discuss it.

"So you can't even say why you settled?" King asked.
"Larry you're being inappropriate, you really are."
"What, I'm asking a question?" he said unbelievingly.
"I'm not going to talk about anything that was discussed in mediation, it's completely confidential and you're being inappropriate."

Things really heated up when King took a call from a viewer. Prejean mouthed the words "We're going to have to leave" and took off her microphone.  Again she said "I'm going to have to leave. Thanks."

In an awkward exchange, Prejean ignored the caller's question and King asked her why she was refusing to answer and threatening to leave.

But after the commercial break, Prejean was still there, and explained what sparked her on-air meltdown.

"You don't want to take phone calls, right?" asked King.
"Yeah that was the agreement you had with my publicist," Prejean said.
"Oh, no one told me, I didn't know," King told her.

As Prejean battles yet another public relations blow to her image, there's also potentially damaging new information just surfacing. An ex-boyfriend of hers claims that Prejean actually sent him 15 to 20 steamy videos of herself. He also says Prejean was 19 and 20 years old when she made the tapes, not 17 as she claims.

In her interview this week with INSIDE EDITION promoting her new book, Prejean insisted that there was just one tape.

It looks like there may be more tough questions ahead for Prejean.
