Teka Steward has much more on her mind than most high school seniors. She spent her senior year of high school pregnant. "Going through my whole senior year pregnant, that's weird," mused Teka. Teka is a real-life Juno, like the teen in the OscarĀ®-winning movie played by actress Ellen Page. She, like the character Juno, went to class even when she was nine months pregnant. "I'm out of breath all the time. I'll walk to a class 50 yards away to another class and sit down and need to take a deep breath," said Teka. The baby was unplanned, an accident with her football player boyfriend of two years, high school junior Kyle Brown. And Teka says that just like Juno and her boyfriend in the movie, "[Kyle] is the cheese to my macaroni."Teka's bedroom looks like a typical teenager's, with stuffed animals and furry throw pillows on the bed, but against the wall there is a baby's crib. "I think my dad took it the hardest. Because you know, [I'm his] little baby girl, you know...it's hard for him." "It was a big shock for sure," said Teka's dad Wayne Steward. "It was a shock," agreed Teka's mom Roxanne. "I was just emptied, broken, that's my baby girl," said Wayne. "My baby is not a baby anymore," said Roxanne. Like the parents in Juno, Teka's mom and dad were initially heartsick, but have now come to accept the reality of the situation. "I'm not going to lie. It was a bombshell. But then after the shock you just say, 'Well Lord, what are we gonna do?' well you're going to pick up the pieces and you're going to press on," said Roxanne. Their daughter is a pretty all-American teen who dreamed of attending a big university out of town. Because of the baby, she now plans to go to a local community college. And Kyle, a talented high school linebacker who dreamed of playing football for USC, now plans to stay close to home and go to college in Oregon so he can help raise his daughter."It's strange to be having a kid in high school, but it's even weirder to be having a kid when you're a junior in high school," Kyle told INSIDE EDITION. And Teka's little brother Ben is 4-years-old. He may not be grown-up yet, but he's doing what he can to help Teka and play his part as the baby's uncle.INSIDE EDITION was there the morning Teka left for the hospital. Doctors were worried that her blood pressure was too high, and decided to induce labor. All in all it was a rough day for Teka. The doctors not only induced labor, there were also a couple of minor scares along the way. Teka's labor was rough, and it got a lot worse before it got better for the teenager, who has had to grow up fast.
