Debbie Rowe Lashes Out at Ever-Present Paparazzi

Airdate: 7/20/2009

Debbie Rowe was hammered with questions about her ongoing custody battle for Michael Jackson's children while leaving a restaurant near her ranch in Palmdale, California. Jackson’s ex-wife was also asked about her relationship with the superstar’s dermatologist Arnold Klein.

London's Daily Mirror claims that Klein is telling friends that he is the biological father of Rowe’s two children with Jackson, Prince and Paris, and will seek custody.

“Did you have a sexual relationship with Dr. Klein?” asked a member of the paparazzi. Rowe appeared to smile before answering, “I think it's hysterical.”

There was no comment from Dr. Klein.

Earlier, Rowe lashed out at the paparazzi as police listened.

Exasperated, she added, “Walter Cronkite is a big deal dying. That’s a big deal story.”

Despite Rowe’s aversion to the harsh media spotlight, the non-stop attention is certain to continue. While that court hearing to determine the permanent guardian of Jackson’s children was canceled again, Rowe and Katherine Jackson remain in private talks to come up with a deal.

Joe Jackson is reportedly agreeing to step aside and says he won't be involved in raising the three kids, a demand of Rowe’s in the custody case.

Meanwhile Katherine, who was left 40% of the estate, has filed court papers asking a judge if she can challenge the executors named in her son's 2002 will without violating a strict "no contest" clause. The clause prohibits relatives or beneficiaries from challenging Jackson’s will.

Mina Sirkin, an attorney with Expert Trust and Estates, tells INSIDE EDITION, “She's only asking the court, if she does file for removal of those executors, whether or not it would be deemed a contest.  She could stand to lose her entire inheritance if it's deemed a contest, if she goes ahead and does it."

Writer Ian Halperin, author of the new Jackson biography Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, says he's aware of the existence of a more recent will that leaves Katherine with nothing. “In 2007, my sources say Michael Jackson wrote another will, which would put the 2002 will in jeopardy.”
