Carrie Prejean Goes Into Seclusion

Airdate: 11/13/2009
Former Miss California Carrie Prejean is canceling all public appearances following her meltdown on Larry King Live and new revelations about her sex-tape.

"Her legal counsel has now advised [Carrie] to severely limit all her public statements and appearances," her book publisher told INSIDE EDITION. "She must decline to comment on any and all questions regarding a so-called sex tape."

"I like Larry King...but he really was badgering her," Ann Coulter told INSIDE EDITION.

With Carrie silenced, the outspoken Conservative pundit is coming to her defense.

"She didn't understand, if you're going to be a public Conservative and a public Christian, you better think that everything, your deepest darkest secret, the worst thing about you, your most embarrassing memory, is going to be front page news," Coulter said.

Carrie is now using a bodyguard recommended to her by Coulter.

"I think you're being extremely inappropriate right now and I am going to leave your show.

And there's more reaction to Carrie's threat to walk out on Larry King.

"The public is finally getting a glimpse of the real Carrie Prejean...I sincerely hope she is able to get the psychological help I believe she clearly needs." said Keith Lewis, director of the Miss California pageant

Meanwhile a former boyfriend of Carrie's tells INSIDE EDITION he believes he knows why she made that now notorious sex tape.

"Does making a sex tape seem like something that Carrie would do?" asks INSIDE EDITION's Lisa Guerrero.
"There's a lot of girls who do stuff like that. I think she was probably just probably young, probably lonely, and just hanging out and she probably really thought this guy wouldn't do anything like that to hurt her," says Tony Castellano.

Donald Trump, owner of the Miss USA pageant told CNN Headline News he would consider casting Carrie on Celebrity Apprentice.

"That'll be for next season. We'll have to see where Carrie is next season," Trump said.

Before canceling her tour, Carrie told INSIDE EDITION she was having problems handling the media firestorm.

"I feel like I'm constantly having to defend myself and I don't think it's right. I don't think I should have to."

Every contestant who enters the Miss California pageant, including Carrie Prejean, must sign a statement confirming they have never appeared in any nude or semi-nude photos or videotapes.
