Carnie Wilson, one of America's most famous gastric bypass patients, is back to wearing size 16 clothes. Carnie's weight has ballooned to more than 200 lbs.
The former talk show host and Wilson Phillips singer has battled obesity for years. She underwent the stomach reduction surgery in 1999, even broadcasting the procedure live on the internet, and lost 150 lbs.
Carnie is acknowledging the weight gain, telling OK magazine that she can't stop eating snacks. "For me, it's a tortilla with cheese, popcorn and graham crackers, all in one night."
Carnie says she's turned all her attention on her little girl, Lola Sofia, who will turn 3 in April, and lost focus on her own health. Her representative told INSIDE EDITION, "Carnie is committed to losing this excess weight. She will continue to inspire those millions of Americans suffering from the disease of morbid obesity and to suggest bariatric surgery as the best way to address this problem."
A paid spokesperson for gastric bypass, Carnie is experiencing the dreaded downside of the surgery. It's estimated that 20% of patients who lose weight after the operation put a significant amount back on.
