He's "The Lion Whisperer." He actually lives with a pride of lions. He drinks with them, sleeps with them, he even speaks their language!
In his new book, Part of the Pride: My Life Among the Big Cats of Africa, Kevin Richardson tells the incredible story of his life with a pride of lions.
Majestic images of Richardson living with the lions on his nature preserve have amazed millions of people around the world on YouTube.
He's grown so close to the pride of lions he's raised for 11 years, mothers even let him sleep with their cubs!
Kevin says, "When a cub cries out for their mom, they make a sound like 'Yeow, yeow!' And the mom will respond with a friendly 'Huff! Huff!' "
Richardson hopes his moving videos of life among the pride will help preserve the dwindling lion population near his home in South Africa.
He says he realizes one day, a lion might kill him but if it does he says he has no regrets.
"People will still look and say, 'This guy's mad! He's crazy. Why? Why does he do it? He's going to get eaten.' Unless you experience it, you probably never will get it," he says.
