INSIDE EDITION Confronts Joey Greco, Host of Cheaters

Airdate : 11/9/2009

Joey Greco, the host of the hit syndicated TV show Cheaters, is the man who confronts people that he says have been caught cheating on their spouses or lovers. But this time, INSIDE EDITION decided to confront him. We wanted to ask him if he's been cheating his viewers.

Every episode of Cheaters portrays infidelity and ends with a heated confrontation.  But are the stories true?

The most famous episode of Cheaters is the one in which Joey Greco gets stabbed.

INSIDE EDITION spoke to a woman named Cassandra Terrazas who says she was paid to play the part of a woman having an affair on a boat with a man who is supposedly engaged to another woman.

But during the confrontation, the young man supposedly stabs Greco. Greco is shown being rushed to shore, where paramedics feverishly tried to save his life. The young man was subdued in the episode and it appeared that he was under arrest.

But Terrazas tells INSIDE EDITION, "I'm 100 per cent sure [Joey Greco] was not harmed at all," and says Cheaters rented the boat and ambulance, and the blood was fake.

INSIDE EDITION wanted to ask Joey Greco about the stabbing. He didn't return calls or e-mails, so Chief Investigative Correspondent Matt Meagher caught up with him on the street as he was walking his dog.

"Almost every episode we've looked at appears to be fake. Are all of them fake?" asked Meagher.

"I understand that that's your opinion. And you're entitled to that," answered Greco.

Meagher asked, "Can you give us any direction as to the hospital, the police department, or a court where we can find any record of that stabbing?"

"It was in the area, I can't. I was kind of occupied at the moment," responded Greco.

"The blood the viewer sees gushing from your shirt and on your hands, was that fake blood?" pressed Meagher.

"Matt, I appreciate your time and attention but I've already stated that I can't continue," said Greco.

"You can't say whether that was fake blood?" asked Meagher.

"I appreciate your time and attention," said Greco.

Greco says legally he cannot comment any further.
