Happy HOWLoween! New York's Spookiest Pooches Hit the Streets for Annual Dog Costume Parade

Every year, New York's cutest, funniest and spookiest pooshes don their Halloween costumes and convene at a Manhattan park for the annual Tompkins Square Dog Halloween Parade.

On October 24, thousands of people, some with pets and some just there as spectators, poured into the park for the 25th anniversary of the always anticipated parade.

This year's entries included dogs dressed in some of the year's hottest costumes for people, including multiple pups posing as pizza rat. Perennial favorites like super heroes were also common, as were fantasy favorites from Star Wars.

Some 250 dogs made their way down the catwalk in hopes of snagging Best in Show and the Apple Watch that came with it.

Best Show winner Dia de los Muertos (and her people) came all the way from Texas to snag this year's title, amny reports. However, each of these doggone cute doggies deserves his moment in the spotlight.
