He's the heaviest man in the world, and on his wedding day, instead of a stretch limo, he headed to the altar on the back of a flatbed truck
Manuel Uribe is so fat he hasn't gotten out of bed in six years. So he needed a little help from his friends to get to the church on time.
The Guinness Book of World Records called him the "World's Heaviest Man." He once weighed in at a whopping 1,200 pounds.
Manuel's neighbors in the town of Monterrey, Mexico have all gathered to wish him well. They're calling his big day the wedding of the year, and Uribe has invited almost a thousand people, including his American doctor Barry Sears.
Sears said that while most bridegrooms are nervous on their wedding day, Uribe was "steady as a rock."
When INSIDE EDITION first met Manuel, his small bedroom was his entire world, but now he's getting married and even talking about having children.
He met Claudia when she stopped by to check out the world's fattest man. She spent hours reading to him and they fell in love.
Now she takes care of him by cooking his breakfast and helping him stick to his diet.
Manuel now says he's lost more than 400 pounds just by watching what he eats and exercising. But his fiancée says she doesn't care what he looks like.
INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander went shopping with Claudia for her wedding dress.
The wedding was televised live on Mexican television, and Manuel was even allowed to have some of the wedding cake Claudia picked out.
Needless to say, they don't make tuxedos in Manuel's size, so an XX-XXXL silk shirt was specially made for him.
Manuel looked like a king on his wedding day as everyone cheered the world's heaviest man and his blushing bride.
