The doctor who may be the biological father of Michael Jackson’s oldest children was mobbed by reporters. “What’s important is who the children loved and they loved him more than anyone else in the world and he loved them,” said Klein.
Dr. Arnold Klein, Jackson’s dermatologist, continued to be ambiguous about whether he could be the father of Prince and Paris Jackson. When reporters asked why he was so evasive, Klein responded: “I’m not evasive. Here’s what's important: Who the father is [is] between the children and the individual. The only thing that is important is that's who has to know! I’m not into sensationalism. I’m into the truth!”
Klein was leaving Larry King's studio where, just moments earlier, he poured gasoline on the fire by admitting he was once a sperm donor.
“Once I gave sperm to a sperm bank but I don't think I should go over my legal affairs because I think to the best of my knowledge I’m not the father,” admitted Klein.
Jackson always insisted he was the biological father, but many are now questioning that.
Even a New York Times columnist is raising the issue, writing: “Isn't that the sort of question a person's dermatologist should be able to answer without hedging?”
Dr. Klein also stepped into the looming custody battle over the children, Prince, Paris, and 7-year-old Blanket, by saying Jackson’s 79-year-old mother, Katherine, is too old to raise them.
Instead, he favors Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, the mother of Prince and Paris. Rowe used to work for Klein as a nurse.
“You may not think she's the best person in the world. But having worked with her for 25 years as a nurse, she can be a very loving person,” said Klein.
