Model Smeared, Alleged Blogger Revealed

ORIGINAL AIRDATE: 8/20/2009

Rosemary Port's name was revealed as the blogger who allegedly attacked cover girl Liskula Cohen on her blog, "Skanks of NYC."

Cohen filed a defamation lawsuit on 8/20, seeking $3 million.

The identity of the anonymous blogger who allegedly smeared a beautiful model has now been revealed. Court papers say her name is Rosemary Port, a regular on the New York City social scene, where she got to know cover girl Liskula Cohen.

According to Cohen, Port is not a friend, though “she's somebody I would see out, and say hello and goodbye. We used to have a lot of mutual friends in common,” she added.

The accused blogger hid her face from photographers as she left her Manhattan apartment building. She reportedly works in public relations.

In 2008, she is said to have made a savage online attack against the model, calling her a "psychotic, lying, whoring...Skank," under the title, "Skanks of NYC."

Ironically, it is Port's Facebook page that shows her lying in bed, apparently topless.

Port's name was revealed Thursday, 8/20 when Cohen filed a defamation lawsuit seeking $3 million.

Up until now, Port's lawyer refused to reveal any details identifying her client.

But the cover girl learned the identity of her online attacker when she won a lawsuit against Google earlier in the week. A judge ordered Google to turn over the blogger's e-mail address, a Yahoo! account, and Cohen says she contacted the woman who had called her "Skanky", a "Ho," "Whoring," and "Psychotic."

Cohen described the phone call. "I said, ‘Hello. How are you?’ and she said, ‘I'm fine. How are you?’ and I said, ‘I think you know exactly how I am.’ Then, I asked her what I could have possibly done to make her hate me so much. She didn't really have an answer."

Cohen says she still doesn’t understand why Port allegedly took to the internet to slam her. “I wish I did.”
