As always, there were fashion hits and fashion misses at the Emmys. INSIDE EDITION has our list of the best dressed and the fashion failures!

It's not a Hollywood awards ceremony without a look at the fashion choices of the stars.  TV's leading ladies sizzled more than ever on the red carpet, as barely-there dresses wowed onlookers.

"I loved [Blake Lively's] red dress, I thought it was gorgeous on her, she looked like a goddess," said TV Guide fashion expert Carrie Ann Inaba.  The Gossip Girl's fire engine red gown by Versace plunged not only in front, but in the back too.

And House's Olivia Wilde was part of the peek-a-boo trend; she wore a white gown made especially for her by Marchesa.  "I like to have fun with it and take some risks," Wilde tells INSIDE EDITION of her red carpet style.

The night's best dressed included Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie nominee Drew Barrymore, who was the picture of old Hollywood glamour in her blush confection by Monique Lhuillier.

Mad Men's January Jones was another standout in her edgy Atelier Versace gown with a modern, geometric bodice.  And Heidi Klum, expecting her fourth baby, proved once again pregnancy can be glamorous.  Heidi says the bigger her bump, the more she emphasizes it, and she loves playing with accessories.  "I love jewelry and I love high heels," she told INSIDE EDITION.

Mariska Hargitay's metallic gown by Carolina Herrera was one of INSIDE EDITION's favorites; the Law & Order: SVU star almost stole the show!  Metallics were big in 2009 year; stars like Kristin Chenoweth, Holly Hunter, and Sandra Oh also wore the trend.

INSIDE EDITION's Deborah Norville was part of the metallic movement, and discovered that she had a red carpet resemblance to actress Marcia Gay Harden.

Both wore different versions of a Badgley Mischka dress.

The color red was another big trend, worn by Blake Lively, Debra Messing, Anna Torv, Jennifer Morrison, and Sigourney Weaver, to name a few.

Best actress winner Toni Collette wore a bright pink dress, and joked with INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret that she wasn't carrying her Emmy statuette around because "she needs to lose weight."

INSIDE EDITION's red carpet fashion misses include one lady in red; Hayden Panettiere would have shined in a more youthful look...her red draped dress aged the 20-year-old star.

Funny woman Sarah Silverman's blue gown made her seem to balloon due to fabric added on to the sides of the waist.

And soap star Victoria Rowell should have saved the political statement for her next trip to Washington. She made her Obama dress herself.

And the end of the ceremony was definitely not the end of the night.  It was time to party!

"Dude, you gotta meet me at the party! I'll see you at the party!" Tracey Morgan told INSIDE EDITION.

The stars headed to the official Governor's Ball, where they continued the evening with dinner and cocktails.
