Megan Fox and Hayden Panettiere are the latest young stars who cops say are victims of the "Hollywood Brat Pack burglary ring." In a stunning development, LAPD detectives revealed Fox and Panettiere as the newest round of stars targeted by a gang of burglars made up of mostly teenage girls who targeted Hollywood's hottest stars. Cops say the suspects used satellite maps to identify mansions where some of the biggest names in entertainment live. The LAPD recovered $2 million worth of jewelry belonging to Paris Hilton.
Outside Mr. Chow's restaurant in Beverly Hills, Paris had nothing nice to say about the suspects. "I hate them," she told reporters.
Lindsay Lohan, one of the high-profile victims, wouldn't answer questions about the burglars. And Audrina Patridge from MTV's The Hills, also victim, said she was happy the police caught the robbers.
So far, cops claim the suspects hit ten victims, including Orlando Bloom and Ashley Tisdale. But they were also considering going after such big names as Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel, Shania Twain, Goldie Hawn, and Rihanna.
"This was a very busy successful burglary crew," says LAPD detective Brett Goodkin. "I would consider them all professional burglars"
The suspects all claim they are innocent, and today there's an APB out for a new suspect. Cops say his name is Jonathan Ajar, but he goes by the nickname "Johnny Dangerous." The revelations have all of young Hollywood talking, including Entourage star Adrien Grenier.
"What's wrong with these kids these days? Just go skinny dipping in the pool, don't steal," he quipped.
That suspect police are looking for is an ex-con who did 37 months in federal prison back in 2002. Cops say they believe he has sold off some of the stolen merchandise. |
