There's a major development in the case of Chelsea King. Another body has been found of a teenage girl.
It's heartbreaking news. Cops in California say they have found missing 14-year-old Amber Dubois. And they say she was murdered.
The grim discovery comes just five days after the body of Chelsea King was found. Chelsea and Amber lived not far from each other.
"Human skeletal remains have been positively identified as being those of our missing 14-year-old Amber," said an Escondido, California police chief.
After a tip, detectives found Amber's remains in a remote area of San Diego County. The 14 year old vanished a little over a year ago while she was on her way to school.
Amber's parents were in tears at a news conference and her father could barely speak. But he was able to thank volunteers who helped look for his daughter.
"They are the most dedicated people we could have imagined. Without them we couldn't have done anything. That's about all I want to say," he said.
Detectives are investigating whether John Gardner, a suspect in Chelsea King's murder, is also responsible for Amber's death. Amber's dad had strong things to say about the registered sex offender.
"This world doesn't need people like that. We'll leave it at that," he said.
Gardner has plead not guilty to Chelsea's murder.
