Super Nanny! Cameras Catch Caregiver as She Tackles Alleged Package Thief

The nanny's boss has even nicknamed her "Rambo."

Home security cameras caught a heroic nanny as she tackled an alleged package thief in the driveway of a home in Washington state.

The incident occurred as Nanny Kate Anderson spotted a woman running up and stealing a package that had just been dropped off at the Everett home where she works and attempted to flee in a getaway car on Nov. 29 just before 11 a.m.

Anderson, who was caring for an infant who happened to be asleep at the time, bolted out of the house and before the suspect could get into the car, the nanny pulled her down to the pavement and began screaming at her.

“What are you doing," she yelled to the alleged thief. "What are you trying to steal?"

Anderson held the woman as she tried to escape and brought her back to the house.

The suspect tried to explain her innocence but Anderson would not let her go.

“I went right after her," Anderson told Inside Edition. "I was like, ‘She is not going anywhere. She is not getting away.'"

Anderson made a citizen’s arrest and cops arrived to properly take the suspect into custody.

The alleged thief was identified as Rhieanna Schindler, 29. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said she had previous warrants for drug possession and theft and has been arrested more than 20 times since 2010.

Anderson’s boss, Tanya Smith, created a GoFundMe page for her nanny, who takes care of her 1-year-old baby.

Smith called her heroic nanny “Rambo” and added on the page: “Kate Anderson not only takes amazing care of my son, but bravely chased down a thief who was stealing from our front porch and restrained her until the police came. She’s truly a modern-day hero and deserves a reward for her admirable actions.”
