    19-Year-Old Acid Attack Victim Struts On Fashion Week Runway To Raise Awareness

    Beauty blogger, Reshma Qureshi, took the world by storm on Thursday when she walked in Indian designer Archana Kochar's runway show for New York Fashion Week. The 19-year-old survived an attack two years ago after her brother-in-law and other men threw acid on her face. Qureshi teamed with "Make Love Not Scars" to bring attention to the issue and has gotten praise from people around the world. Actress Sunny Leone also walked in the show and says the men who attacked Qureshi should be punished.

A man reportedly seen in surveillance footage plucking the festive holiday laser lights from a Staten Island front yard recently was chastised by Community Education Council 31 President Michael Reilly on Facebook following the theft.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
