Why Police Hired a Cat Named Ed To Patrol This Area Instead of a K9 Officer

Being a cop was this cat's calling. This feline is fierce in the field. His name is Ed and his is to scare away those pesky pests lurking around a mounted police horse stable in Australia. Emergency Responders Rescue 20-Year-Old Horse Trapped In 6 Feet Of Water

It took police and a team of responders hours to pull a horse that was stuck in the mud to safety. The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a call to find a 20-year-old mare submerged in a pond up to his head. He reportedly could not find solid ground in a wet area full of decomposing wood and mulch, leaving only his back and above exposed. Rescuers lifted the animal using a pulley system before drying him off with towels. Police say the horse is now in stable condition.

Watch Signing Santa Spend Quality Time With Hearing-Impaired Children

Santa Claus came to town and spent quality time with hearing-impaired children at a mall. Dozens of children had a special holiday engagement with St. Nick, an annual event organized by the Signing Santa organization. The children get to meet with Santa Claus, take a photo with him and they sign what they want to Father Christmas, who signs right back. They also get to dance, play video games and have holiday-themed interactions with people dressed as Santa's helpers.
