    Teens Accidently Get Throats Slashed By Knife During 'Sweeney Todd' Play

    The demons of 'Sweeney Todd' literally came to life in a high school production of the musical when two students were hurt on opening night. A prop razor used in one of the throat slitting scenes apparently cut their necks during the performance. The head of the school told New Zealand's ONE News the razor which you'd expect to be used in Sweeney Todd had been checked numerous times. The actors were taken to the hospital but have since been released. The second performance was canceled.

A man reportedly seen in surveillance footage plucking the festive holiday laser lights from a Staten Island front yard recently was chastised by Community Education Council 31 President Michael Reilly on Facebook following the theft.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
