Cops Surprise 5-Year-Old With Mini Police Cruiser After Buying Officers' Lunch

Police in one New Jersey town surprised 5-year-old William Evertz Jr. With his very own personalized battery operated police car. The gift was to say thank you for treating them to a Subway lunch last week. He paid for it using his allowance money. The filling gesture was part of William's mission to complete random acts of kindness throughout his community. He's also delivered bags of toys and school supplies to a women's shelter with help from his cousin.

Man Creates Epic Christmas Light Display On Home Set To Prince's 'Purple Rain'

Prince's 'Purple Rain' isn't a traditional Christmas song, but this year, a family in Minnesota considers it a honorary holiday tune. Mike Staudt creates a light display on his home every year. Staudt says he's only a casual Prince fan but regrets not taking advantage of being in close proximity to the singer.

9-Year-Old Girl Wants to Collect 350 Blankets To Keep Kids Warm This Winter

9-year-old Emma Burkhart has been able to rally her community to collect blankets for kids to help them stay warm this winter. She got the idea last year when she was gifted two of the same blanket and wanted to give one away. She figured others could use blankets too and started the "Keep Kids Warm Blanket Drive" in her town of Durant, Oklahoma. Local businesses served as drop-off points for the drive and helped Emma collect 200 blankets! This year she's set a loftier goal: 350 blankets.
