Cops: Dad's Short Cut To Kids' School Doesn't Quite Go As Planned

One dad in Ontario, Canada, was rushing to get his kids to school so they would not be late, what then happened had them tardy anyway.

A Canadian dad was in such a rush to get his two kids to school, his car ended up on top of a post, according to police.

According to the father, whose name has not been released, sped his SUV through a parking lot in Brampton, Ontario in an attempt to avoid a red light in the road - but he never made it out of the parking lot.

Instead, he crashed his car into concrete poles, forcing the SUV into the air, according to reports. Images released by Peel Regional Police show its precarious position.

The dad and his two children escaped without any injuries - but the kids were late for school after all.

A special tow was required to get the SUV down.
