See 3 Elderly Beagles Walk on Grass For the First Time After Being Freed From a Lab

Three elderly beagles were rescued from a South Korean shelter and have now felt grass for the first time.

After three beagles were no longer needed by a research facility in South Korea, they were left in a shelter - until the Beagle Freedom Project and their local partners came to their rescue.

The 14-year-old dogs were flown to the United States where they got to run on grass for the first time.


The dogs, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, were all placed in forever homes and treated for their ailments.

The Beagle Freedom Project recently rescued 38 dogs from laboratory testing labs.

The breed is the most popular type for lab use and the organization works to find homes for thousands of homeless and abandoned dogs.
