Muhammad Ali Posed With Carrie Underwood in His Final Public Appearance
The Champ was hosting his annual fundraiser to raise money for Parkinson's research.
Muhammad Ali was last seen posing with Carrie Underwood at the former boxing great’s annual Celebrity Fight Night fundraiser.
The event occurred April 9 for his charity that benefits research aimed at punching out Parkinson’s disease, which Ali has suffered from for decades.
Underwood sang at the event, which was held inside the JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. The former American Idol posed with The Champ and held his hands for what would be his final public outing.
In 22 years, his Celebrity Fight Night has raised more than $118 million for The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.
The 74-year-old passed away Friday in an Arizona hospital after suffering respiratory problems.
Funeral services are planned for this weekend in Ali's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where the city plans to hold a memorial. The flags there have been ordered at half-staff to honor the legendary fighter.
