17-Year-Old's Wish to Take Prom Photos With the Mets Comes True
She even got to dance with one of the players.
It was a field of dreams come true as one New York Mets fan got to hang out with the team on her prom night.
A few months ago, 17-year-old Callie Quinn sent a message to the team on Twitter, asking how many retweets it would take for her to get a pre-prom photo shoot with the players. They responded "500,000," which she quickly surpassed.
The team's mascot, Mr. Met, then came to her school in Staten Island and officially asked her with a sign that read: Prom?
So on Friday, four months after the team's promise, they made good on their offer.
Not only did the high school senior get to take photos with her favorite players, Michael Conforto and Noah Syndergaard, at Citi Field, she also received a personalized jersey from the team.
Quinn donned a blue dress she designed herself as she posed for the dream photos.
"I met Conforto, and I literally broke down. I almost cried real hard,” Quinn told NorthJersey.com.
She even got to dance with pitcher Jerry Blevins on the field.
Talk about a prom night to remember.
