'GMA' Co-Host Michael Strahan Loses Part of Finger in Accident
The former NFL star and "Good Morning America" personality did not reveal the nature of his accident.
Michael Strahan has returned to work at Good Morning America after missing a day because he lost part of a finger.
“I had a little accident,” he said on the show Wednesday. “Lost a little bit of my pinky.”
He showed off his bandaged finger on his left hand, but didn't reveal how he got injured.
He was, however, in good spirits.
“A guy before just said, 'Michael, we pinky swear,' or something like that," he said. “There's going to be a lot of jokes for a while but I'm OK and glad to be back."
The former New York Giant joins Jimmy Fallon as high-profile TV personalities who have suffered a finger injury.
The Tonight Show host nearly lost the ring finger on his left hand after getting his wedding band caught on an object in his home in 2015.
