Couple Floats Dog in Air as Part of Gender Reveal: 'It Was So Magical'

The 7-year-old Yorkie seemed to enjoy the moment.

A Canada couple took gender reveals to a whole new level when they floated their dog down from their balcony to announce whether they are expecting a boy or girl.

"We wanted to do something unique," Brook Holton, 29, told InsideEdition.com. "We were throwing ideas around and the craziest one that came up was floating my dog with helium. So we figured out how to do it safely.”

The couple wanted to include their 7-year-old Yorkie, Coco, in the moment because she is such an important part of their lives.

Holton made sure Coco would be safe and comfortable in the basket before her journey. As it turns out, the pup loved it.

“She was so comfy," Holton said. "We made the basket and I just carried her around like above my head level in the basket just to see if she would be okay with it. She didn’t even want to get out. When I put her down she just stayed in there.”

Friends organized for little Coco to be placed into a small flower basket which was then tied to 75 helium balloons. Posted on the basket read a sign that said, “I’m having a sister.”

In a video shared by Caters News of the moment, Coco floats down from the couple’s balcony to the excited crowd below.

“As soon as she got to crowd level, they dumped pink balloons," Holton said. "The little note made me emotional. I am not a super emotional person but it just like choked me up. It was so magical. It was like she was the one telling me that I was going to have a baby girl.”

Holton's daughter is due in December.
