Does This Dog Have The World's Most Epic Beard?

Kids often stop to admire Nuts on the street.

Beard grooming may be all the rage, but it all comes naturally for this pup.

Nuts, a 2-year-old griffon living in Moscow, Russia, often gets stares and compliments anywhere he goes.

Kids like him very much. They say, ‘Look mom, what a funny dog!’ or ‘This dog looks like a grandpa,’” his owner, Tatiana Kovalenok, told InsideEdition.com. “Many people say that Nuts is very trendy, as it’s very popular nowadays for men to wear thick beard.”

Sometimes, strangers on the street even call Nuts a miniature Chewbacca, of "Star Wars" fame.

Kovalenok explained the pup's breed is known for their facial hair.

For such an impressive mane, Nuts' grooming routine is simple.

“We don’t do any special treatment for the beard, we just wash it when Nuts takes a shower,” his owner said. “It grows by itself and the hair is so smooth we don’t even have to comb it and it never tangles.”

Aside from his beard, Kovalenok said Nuts' “well-tempered” personality also attracts a lot of friends.

“Nuts has very expressive mimics, you can always tell if he’s in a playful mood or upset or frustrated when being scolded,” she said. “He also loves to talk, he makes noises that you can hardly call a barking, it sounds more like he’s trying to talk human.”

In his time off from being a bearded style icon, Nuts likes to play with his toys, relax in his bed or visit with his two best friends.

“Once you say ‘Want to go to Vlas and Yup?’ he starts jumping around, squeal in excitement,” she said. “As soon as they reunite, they begin run rampant and play.”
