On Tuesday morning, there was another milestone for Tracy Morgan, as he returned to the Saturday Night Live studio where he shot to stardom.
On the Today show, he took a tour of SNL’s famed 8H with Matt Lauer.
Lauer asked, “Do you experience depression? How do you get through that?”
An emotional Morgan said, “I love comedy and wonder how I’m going to be funny again. I'm going to get to it and the fans let me know, 'We can't wait for you to come back. We can't wait for you to come back.' I can't wait to make them laugh again."
Morgan says it was his family and especially his fiancée, Megan, who gave him the strength to pull through.
Lauer asked her, “How far back do you think he is?”
“He is not 100% but he came a long way pretty, pretty fast. It was a rough beginning. It didn't look so great in the beginning but he's come around and he's going to be back,” she said.
Morgan vows to return to comedy and it's all thanks to that medical team who saved his life.
