Did Charlie Sheen's Watch Cause his Meltdown?

Charlie Sheen's meltdown at the Plaza hotel in New York was reportedly brought on when he couldn't find his $140,000 wrist watch. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Charlie Sheen is speaking out about what set off his now notorious meltdown at New York's Plaza hotel.

A photographer asked, "Charlie, what kind of watch was it?"

"It was a patek," replied Sheen.

"Oh, that's a beautiful watch," said the photographer.

The actor reportedly went on a rampage overturning furniture in his posh hotel suite, looking for his missing wrist watch. And not just any old watch. It's a Patek Philippe 5970, a very rare platinum and diamond watch worth a whopping $140,000.

Sheen was spotted wearing the watch around New York City the day before the drama unfolded. And the actor says he still hasn't found his precious timepiece.

Photographers asked, "Where's the watch now?"

"If I knew, I'd be wearing it," said Sheen.

INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent got to try on a watch just like the one that sent Sheen into his headline-making fit.

Christina Walsh, aka Capri Anderson, the porn star who locked herself in the bathroom at the Plaza, says she's not responsible for Sheen's missing watch, saying, "I never took the watch."

According to a published report, Sheen promised to pay Capri $12,000 to spend the night with him, and she is "fuming" that he never coughed up the cash.

Capri is trying to capitalize on her new found fame by posting three new videos on her membership only porn website.

Charlie Sheen and Capri Anderson had a wild dinner at the swanky Daniel restaurant on Manhattan's 65th street before their blowup at the Plaza. Sheen, who is TV's highest paid star, is said to have shelled out big bucks, buying two bottles of wine that cost $5,900 each!

Capri posted this message on Twitter:

"I wanna say thank you for all the support, it's much appreciated as I am going through a very hard time right now."

Strangely enough, just three minutes later, Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards, who was next door with their two daughters in the Eloise suite during the maylay, also tweeted.

"I have the most amazing supportive friends. Thank u for being there and reaching out to me! I love you all."
