Late Night Stars React To Their Super Bowl Ad

David Letterman and Jay Leno react to their commercial that surprised everyone and stole the show at the Super Bowl. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

"I want to thank Dave for making me a part of his promo."

Jay Leno is talking about that surprising Super Bowl commercial, and he says it helped heal the rift between Letterman and him.

Leno said, "I walk in, I see Dave, he puts his hand out, and I shake hands. Whatever happened in the last 18 years disappeared. It was great to see my old friend again. It was wonderful."

Letterman also spoke out, but he played it for laughs, saying, "I would like to thank the actors who played Oprah and Jay Leno."

We're also learning that Letterman wanted Conan O'Brien to be part of the commercial, but NBC "nixed the idea" because they did not want any "lingering Conan connections to Leno," said a source at the Chicago Sun-Times.

New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees was Letterman's special guest. He brought along his wife and young son. The last time we saw little Baylen he was wearing a giant headset at the Superbowl to protect his little ears from the roar of the crowd.

Just before Brees arrived, Letterman was throwing a football around his studio when his floor manager, Biff Henderson, went tumbling off the stage.

"That's a nasty tumble," said Letterman as he showed the replay.

Outside, INSIDE EDITION's cameras caught Henderson being loaded into an ambulance.

Letterman said, "Believe me, this is not the first staff member I injured."

Things went smoother when Dave took a pass from Drew Brees.  Biff was released from the hospital and is recuperating at home.
