INSIDE EDITION talks to Oksana Grigorieva's former bodyguard who makes the shocking allegation that he thinks some of her claims are "grossly exaggerated or completely fabricated."
Mel Gibson's ex, Oksana Grigorieva, hurried through Los Angeles international airport, pushing a stroller with her beautiful baby daughter, Lucia and ignored questions about Gibson.
But as the beautiful mother of Gibson's youngest child waits to hear if Gibson is going to be prosecuted for domestic violence, a bombshell claim is being made by her former bodyguard.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret asked former bodyguard Kris Herzog, "Do you believe Mel Gibson ever hit Oksana Grigorieva?"
"No," said Herzog.
Moret asked, "Do you believe he knocked her teeth out?"
"No," replied Herzog.
And as for that now-famous photo of Grigorieva's broken front teeth, Herzog says, "I believe the authenticity of that photo is dubious, at best."
Gibson denies hitting Grigorieva, but those shocking audiotapes of Gibson screaming at her stunned the world.
Herzog says the full story of those tapes is yet to be told, saying, "What you heard was Mel losing his temper. What you didn't hear was when he was the one trying to calm her down."
For seven months, Herzog was Grigorieva's bodyguard. He claims he also became much more than that.
"I started to get closer and closer with her, and eventually we became intimate," said Herzog.
Herzog says their alleged affair clouded his judgment when it came to the battle with Gibson.
"Do you feel you were set up and manipulated by Oksana Grigorieva?" asked Moret.
Herzog said, "Yes. I came to believe the majority of the charges against Mel Gibson are grossly exaggerated or completely fabricated."
Herzog runs a company called thebodyguardgroup.com. He's pictured on his website with an array of celebrities. Oksana reportedly ended her association with him after learning he'd plead no contest to impersonating a police officer.
Moret asked Herzog, "A lot of people will say you're a disgruntled former employe, a disgruntled former lover. What do you say to them?"
"Even today, I don't want Oksana to lose custody, be arrested, or be deported. I just want Oksana to know that the way she treated me was wrong," said Herzog.
