Charlie Sheen Wants to Return to Work

Charlie Sheen speaks out publicly for the first time since beginning rehab, and says he decided to go back to work but no one was there. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

A feisty Charlie Sheen speaks out on live radio, saying, "I'm here and I'm ready. They're not. Bring it!"

Sheen joked about his raspy voice when he called in to the nationally syndicated Dan Patrick radio show to say he's ready to go back to work on Two and a Half Men.

"Yeah, I sound like Demi Moore in her 80's. What's up with that?" Sheen joked.

Dan Patrick asked, "You're on hiatus?"

Sheen replied, "No, we're on forced hiatus. They said 'You get ready, we'll get ready,' and I got ready. I went back, nobody's there. I don't know what to tell you Dan, nobody's there. I don't know what happened, I guess they're closed."

Patrick asked, "They won't let you back in?"

"I, uh, nobody told me. Nobody told me. I just figured, you know, I'm supposed to go back to work because I'm ready," said Sheen.

The show went on hiatus after Sheen's 36 hour bender left him hospitalized. He's been doing rehab at home, but he says he's now clean and he wants to return to TV's number one sitcom.

"You're clean though now, right?" asked Patrick

"Oh yeah, 100 percent, 100 percent," said Sheen.

And just in time for Valentine's Day, Sheen mentioned he has a new gal pal, saying he had plans with "My girlfriend, who will remain nameless, let's not turn her life upside down."
