Jessica Hahn from Jim Bakker’s infamous church scandal caused a tense moment on The View when she crossed a line with Barbara Walters. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
There was a show-stopping moment on live TV. Barbara Walters actually put down one of her own guests on The View.
The guest was Jessica Hahn, the church secretary who was the center of the 1987 sex scandal involving Reverend Jim Bakker. Bakker was a prominent televangelist with his wife Tammy Faye Bakker.
Tuesday on The View, Hahn was interviewed in a ‘Where Are They Now?' segment. Things turned icy when Hahn brought up Walters's revelation in her 2008 memoir Audition, that she had an affair with U.S. Senator Edward Brooke of Massachusetts in the 1970's.
Hahn said, "You had an affair with a senator."
In which Walters replied, "This is about you my dear, not about me."
Walters sat in stone-cold silence for the rest of the interview. 52-year-old Hahn sashayed around the set to show off how she looks after losing 40 pounds.
"Well, my story was interesting, but nothing compared to hers," said Walters.
