Hollywood Legend Doris Day Releases New Album

For decades Doris Day has charmed audiences with her movies and music. Now her fans can rejoice at a new album she’s released at age 87 of previously unavailable recordings. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

It was her wholesome all-American image that made Doris Day one of Hollywood's biggest stars in the 50's and 60's.

But whatever happened to Doris Day? Believe it or not, she's about to make a comeback at age 87.

Day is now releasing a new album called My Heart. She talked about it to her fans on her website.

"I hope that you know all about it and like it my darling friends," said Day.

The album is a compilation of previously unreleased songs, including "My Bubby." Day sang it in the 1951 film, I'll See You In My Dreams.

Day retired in the 1970's. Her last professional effort was a TV show on CBS. Then she all but vanished off the radar. Her only son, Terry, died of cancer in 2004. Day now lives a quiet life in Carmel, California, and is a an advocate for animal welfare.

Now, with the release of her new album at age 87, a new generation of fans is about to get their day—Doris Day.
