Justin Bieber Plans to Take DNA Test

Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez were all smiles this weekend at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland. But behind the scenes, Bieber is fighting back against the claim that he is the father of Mariah Yeater's baby, repo

Justin Bieber is fighting back. He's planning to take a DNA test to prove he's not the father of four-month-old Tristyn Yeater.

Bieber reportedly plans to sue the baby's mother, Mariah Yeater, for damaging his squeaky-clean image.

"The primary reason to threaten a lawsuit has nothing to do with money and everything to do with Justin Bieber's reputation. It may even have something to do with his very high profile girlfriend Selena Gomez. I'm thinking there may be some very difficult conversations going on between them," says legal analyst Darren Kavinoky.

Bieber was at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Northern Ireland over the weekend. He and girlfriend Selena Gomez arrived hand-in-hand, shooting down rumors that they split in the wake of the baby scandal.

Gomez not only hosted the awards, she also introduced her boyfriend's performance.

Bieber had a few words to say about the controversy swirling around him back home, saying, "There's been a lot of crap on the Internet lately, but I pulled through it."

The DNA test, arranged by his high-powered attorney Howard Weitzman, will reportedly take place as soon as he gets back to the U.S.

"This is a real standoff between Team Bieber and Team Baby Momma. Neither of them appears to be blinking first. Both of them claim to be embracing the idea of a DNA test, so we'll have to see how this one plays out," Kavinoky says.

Meanwhile, the woman who claims Bieber is the father of her baby was quoted as saying, "Look, just look at his mouth! Look familiar? I pray that Justin...knows in his heart that this is his child."

Meanwhile, we've learned that this isn't the first time Yeater has made a paternity allegation.

Last year, she reportedly made the same allegation to her ex-boyfriend, John Terranova. She was arrested for allegedly slapping her ex three times last December, and she's pled not guilty in that case.

There's no doubt Yeater has a troubled past. INSIDE EDITION has learned that she was evicted from an apartment outside San Diego in August for not paying the rent.

The building manager's wife says she doesn't believe for a minute that Bieber's the father.

"They're trying to find their next get-rich-quick scheme and unfortunately they've involved what I believe to be innocent people," she said.

It's being reported that a lab has already been selected for Bieber's paternity test.
