The Today Show Turns 60!

INSIDE EDITION was given all access to the 60th birthday for NBC's landmark morning program, the Today show.

Talk about a cool reunion! All of the former hosts, from Katie Couric to INSIDE EDITION's very own Deborah Norville,  Ann Curry to Meredith Viera, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Today show.

Norville commented on the whole experiance by saying, "I'm so excited, this is really cool."

Mingling on the red carpet were former hosts Tom Brokaw and Jane Pauley, Norville's old sidekick Bryant Gumbel and current hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, and weatherman, Al Roker.

The Today show brought together six decades of TV personalities for the big 60th anniversary show on Friday.

Hugh Downs, who joined the show in 1962, sat beside Barbara Walters, the first woman anchor. Everyone remembered the late Dave Garroway, who started it all in 1952.

All the hosts had a chance to sit and reminisce about the legendary show that millions of Americans over the years have regarded as their morning wake-up call.

Then it was time for a toast and an anniversary cake, personally delivered by actor Tom Hanks, who's appeared on the show 22 times.
