After weeks of speculation, it's being reported that Snooki is pregnant with her first child, and Jersey Shore fans are asking how this will affect the hit show. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Get ready for this: Baby Snooki is on the way. The party-hearty breakout star of the Jersey Shore is preggers, according to the New York Post.
Just yesterday, Snooki was on the set of her Jersey Shore spin-off being shot in Jersey City. She was behind the wheel of a black and pink Cadillac Escalade when it got into a fender bender. But of course, she took it all in Snooki-stride.
"Whatever," said Snooki.
Snooki has spent the last few weeks denying in all her public appearances that she was pregnant.
On the Wendy Williams Show, Williams got her to take a sip of beer as part of a toast and then assumed that meant she was not pregnant.
"So you are not pregnant," said Williams.
"I told eveyone I was not," said Snooki.
But sources told the Post she is in fact three months along with her first child.
Alec Baldwin and Kelly Ripa discussed the matter on Live! With Kelly.
"Don't all women lie when they're pregnant?" said Baldwin.
"During the first trimester, you don't want to jinx anything, so you don't say anything," said Ripa.
"So isn't Snooki entitled to the same thing everyone else is entitled to?" said Baldwin.
"Apparently when you're on the Jersey Shore and it's all out there, no, you're not," said Ripa.
Another possible motive for fibbing? She was reportedly negotiating a big payday from Us magazine to make the formal announcement.
A pregnant Snooki could seriously change the dynamics of the hit MTV show. No more booze. No more wild times that are signatures of the show. MTV executives "went into crisis mode after they found out." Her boyfriend Jionni LaValle is said to be the father.
