A former staffer of The Rosie Show is speaking out about the just-cancelled show.
"It was such a (blanking) hellhole," said the staffer.
A new report in thedailybeast.com claims Rosie O'Donnell "frequently lost her temper" and even "publicly humiliated" long-time members of Oprah Winfrey's former staff, like her director, who had come to work for O'Donnell.
"A new network launch is always a challenge," Winfrey said in a statement. "I'm grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all."
O'Donnell, who taped the show in Chicago, also released a statement: "It was a great year for me. I wish the show was able to attract more viewers, but it did not. So I am headed back to my home in New York with gratitude. On we go!"
In recent months, the show's budget had been cut way down to save money. Gone was the studio audience and Winfrey's legendary set. It had been replaced by a small studio.
O'Donnell's nemesis Donald Trump spoke out about the end of her show over the weekend.
Robyn Ross of tvguide.com told INSIDE EDITION, "It became almost a one-on-one with just Rosie and the screen, and I think it just kept stumbling over not being sure what kind of show it wanted to be and what kind of audience it wanted to have."
Trump said on Fox and Friends, "Well I always knew that Oprah was smart. Rosie fails at everything. Now somebody else, some moron will come and hire her again to do something else, and that'll fail. At some point let her rest. Let her go away. She'll never make it."
